Shirodhara is a form of Ayurveda therapy that involves gently pouring of warm herbal oil to the center of the forehead in a continuous stream.
Raktamokshana derives its name from Rakta meaning 'blood' and mokshana meaning 'liberation'. This treatment literally 'releases' impure blood from the system.
It is a fomentation procedure performed using bolus made up of suitable drugs such as herbal powders, leaves etc
Njavarakizhi is a distinct Ayurvedic massage using Njavara (Shashtika Shali) or cooked rice mixed with milk and herbal extract of Kurumthotti (Sida Rhombifolia) tied in cotton boluses called as kizhis.
